ib4me lets anyone in Sierra Leone raise money for a cause. Donors give with Orange Money or AfriMoney, and organizers are paid out to mobile money or a bank account.
An international crowdfunding site can take a donation from Sierra Leone. It can't pay an organizer in Freetown into their Orange Money wallet. We started ib4me in 2024 to close that gap.
Donors are charged exactly the amount they type. The payment fee and our platform fee come out of that amount, and both are itemised before anyone confirms. Nothing is added on top.
Campaigns go live as soon as they are published. If an organizer hasn't verified their identity, the campaign says so, and donors decide for themselves. Before a mobile money withdrawal is paid, we look up the name the number is registered to.
Live figures from the platform, updated as campaigns receive money.
We work from 27B Grassfield, Freetown.
