The payment fee goes to Monime, which moves the money from your mobile money wallet or card to the campaign. The platform fee pays for running ib4me: the site, checking organizers' identities, and support.
Starting a campaign is free. Organizers only pay fees on money they actually raise.
You may be offered an optional tip for ib4me. It's separate and never comes out of your donation.
Yes, on campaigns where card payments are switched on. You'll see the card option when you check out. Card payments cost more to process (… against about … for mobile money), so a little less of a card donation reaches the campaign.
Everything is charged in Leones. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts it and may charge you for that. That charge is between you and your bank.
When you withdraw from your campaign, Monime charges a … payout fee. It comes out of the campaign balance on top of the amount you ask for, so the full amount you requested lands in your wallet.
For example, withdrawing Le 1,000.00 takes about Le 1,010.00 from the balance. Leave room for the fee when you choose how much to take out.
Registered organizations pay a … platform fee instead of …. NGOs and charities often run several campaigns at once, and the lower rate leaves more for the people they serve.
To get it, choose "Organization" when you sign up. Getting verified is a separate step. It adds a verified badge to your campaigns, and you'll need it before you can withdraw.
Your campaign goes live as soon as you publish it, and you pay nothing until donations come in.
