But for some children, the beginning of a new school year brings fear, uncertainty, and tears because their parents or guardians simply cannot afford the cost of school fees, uniforms, books, shoes, bags, and other learning materials. The children you see in this picture are among those who need our support. We are humbly appealing to you: PLEASE HELP US SEND A CHILD TO SCHOOL THIS SEPTEMBER. For some of these children, education is their only pathway out of poverty. They have dreams. They want to become teachers, doctors, engineers, leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals. But without support today, some may be forced to stay at home while other children return to school. We believe poverty should never be the reason a child is denied an education. This September, we want to reach vulnerable and less-privileged children, including children from poor families, rural communities, and children living with disabilities, and help them return to school with dignity.
